Mature Porcini mushrooms (Boletus Edulis and its group) are often regarded as “Cepes”. These are some of the tastiest mushrooms in the wild. This mushroom has a superior flavor and texture. It is slightly nutty while its texture is smooth and buttery. One can enjoy these mushrooms sautéed with butter or oil, ground into pasta and sauces, or in soups. To prepare without prior thawing, put the contents of the bag in an oiled or buttered frying pan. Cook the mushrooms until the water is evaporated. Add them to your favorite recipe once ready. Afterwards, they can be preserved for up to 24 hours in the refrigerator.
